Rev. Dr. Rodney B. Pulliam and Rodney II, Jordan, and Matthew Pulliam Memorial Fund

Founded by wife and mother Tammie Armstead Pulliam with memorial contributions for grants and scholarships, preferably in support of males ages 5 to 40.

The Rev. Dr. Rodney B. Pulliam was an accomplished lawyer, pastor, involved citizen, and devoted husband and father. In March 2002, he was serving as the newly appointed Chief Operations Officer for the City of Frederick when a tragic automobile accident took his life and that of his three sons: Rodney II, Jordan and Matthew. The Pulliam brothers were athletes with dreams of becoming a judge, a doctor and a preacher respectively. In memory of her husband and three sons, Tammy Armstead Pulliam established The Rev. Dr. Rodney B. Pulliam and Rodney II, Jordan, and Matthew Pulliam Memorial Fund. The Fund supports grants to programs providing educational, recreational and leadership opportunities, including, for instance, summer camps and after-school programs, as well as scholarships to males ages 5 to 40 involved in their faith-based communities with preference given, but not limited, to those pursuing careers in law, medicine and divinity. The Fund’s charitable intentions directly correlate to Dr. Pulliam’s passion for helping others and reflect what the young Pulliam brothers hoped to study.
