Established by Melanie and Harold Cox to provide scholarships to nursing students and will eventually expand to support senior citizens.

Melanie and Harold Cox established this fund to honor their parents, Jack and Margaret Kidd Phillips, and Paul and Madoline Burner Cox. The hard work and support of their parents enabled them to be the first college graduates in their families and helped instill a sense of personal drive and commitment to trying to do the right thing, regardless of the circumstances one might face. While their parents faced multiple challenges in their lives, their grit and determination developed strengths in Melanie and Harold that led them to successes in their own lives.
