Founded by District 8, Maryland Nurses Association, Inc., the fund will provide scholarships to registered nurses who are enrolled part-time or full-time in an accredited nursing program, with a preference given to District 8 nurses. District 8 members, comprised of registered nurses from Washington and Frederick Counties, is affiliated with Maryland Nurses Association, a professional membership organization for registered nurses. Its primary purpose is to provide direction and a voice for the profession of nursing in Maryland.
