Founded by the family of Theresa Wiltrout to award scholarships to Linganore High School graduates pursuing degrees in sciences or science-related fields.

The award honors the legacy of Theresa Wiltrout, who taught A.P. Biology and other science courses in Frederick County Public Schools for over a decade—first at Frederick High School and then at Linganore High School, where she spent the majority of her career. A former research technician who supported the National Cancer Institute, Theresa brought a deep passion for scientific discovery to her classroom and believed in the potential of every student. This fund continues her life’s work by recognizing and supporting the next generation of young scientists.
