Community Foundation Awards More than $758,000 in Impact Grants

FREDERICK, MD – Jan. 22, 2026: The Community Foundation of Frederick County is excited to announce that it awarded more than $758,000 through its Impact Grant program to support projects and initiatives that improve and enhance life in Frederick County.

This year the Community Foundation’s Impact Grants are providing financial support to more than 55 organizations for projects that have meaningful and direct impact on the residents of Frederick County in a range of areas including the arts, historic preservation, agriculture, health and human services, education, cultural understanding, animal well-being, scholarships, elder care, youth programs, civic causes, and more.

Generous donors create charitable funds with the Community Foundation to support initiatives, activities and projects that are important to them. The Dan Crozier Music Trust Fund distributed $6,650 to support youth music programs; The Alvin F. Tesmer and John J. Hayes Veterans Memorial Fund distributed $3,069 to support veteran projects; The Health Fund for Frederick County Youth distributed $72,450 to support children with medical needs; and The Roger Brooke Taney House Endowment Fund distributed $7,072 to support a new artifact preservation facility. More than 130 Impact Grants were awarded in total.
