FREDERICK, MD – July 13, 2021: From July 15, 2021 through August 15, 2021, students in grades 6 through 12 may apply for financial aid scholarships to attend fall 2021 athletic and sports activities or athletic camps. The scholarships are funded by The Dustin and Courtney Muse Memorial Fund, one of more than 740 component funds of The Community Foundation of Frederick County.
FREDERICK, MD – July 9, 2021: The Community Foundation of Frederick County announces its FY2022 dates for strategic grant applications and information sessions. Funding for these strategic grants is made possible through generous donors who are FY22 Strategic Funding Partners and donors who have contributed to the Forever Frederick County campaign. This campaign began in 2019 following an updated Human Needs Assessment study done to capture Frederick County’s greatest needs. This study created the new strategic areas of focus of supporting families with children, preparing for an aging population, and responding to substance use disorder.
FREDERICK, MD – July 8, 2021: The Community Foundation of Frederick County will begin accepting applications for grants from The Sgt. David J. Smith Veterans Relief Fund, one of more than 740 component funds held at the Community Foundation.
Sperry Storm was a well-known Frederick County musician who led a life dedicated to teaching and playing music. A fund in his memory at The Community Foundation of Frederick County is continuing his legacy by supporting music instruction scholarships for students to help them enhance their skills and pursue their educational goals.
