Substance Use Disorder Treatment for Frederick County Youth Fund

Founded by in 2005 Elizabeth Richards as a field of interest fund. A life-long resident of Frederick County, Ms. Richards was active in the community – she was a member of Grace United Church of Christ and a life member and past president of the Frederick Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, among other activities. Her legacy lives on in the lives she impacts every day through this fund.

John C. Summers used foresight and vision to create a planned gift that will help many people in the years to come. The John C. Grants will be provided to nonprofits with programs for screening and qualifying applicants.

Jerry Addington Sweeney II Memorial Fund

Founded by his family for grants to Frederick Community College.

Jerry Addington Sweeney, II was born on August 29, 1976 in Washington, D.C. Jerry graduated from Grace Brethren Christian School and attended Frederick Community College and Montgomery College, where he excelled in baseball. His unexpected death from injuries sustained in an automobile accident inspired the Sweeney family to establish The Jerry Addington Sweeney, II Memorial Fund. This fund awards grants to students attending Frederick Community College.
