Fund in Julie Ann Robertson Cashour’s Memory Promotes Neurofibromatosis Awareness

Julie Ann Robertson Cashour was an inspiration to her family and everyone who knew her. In 1970 at the age of seven, she was diagnosed with neurofibromatosis, a disease she would battle for the duration of her life. A fund established in her memory at The Community Foundation of Frederick County honors her legacy by promoting awareness of neurofibromatosis and providing critical support for research and for organizations serving people with the disease.

FCARe Fund Established at Community Foundation

FREDERICK, MD – June 15, 2021: The FCARe Fund has been established at The Community Foundation of Frederick County and becomes one of its more than 740 component funds. Founded by the Frederick County Association of Realtors (FCAR), the donor-advised fund’s purpose is to further carry out the Community Foundation’s mission by providing grants to local nonprofit organizations. Preference will be given but not limited to providing grants to nonprofits serving Frederick County.
