FREDERICK, MD – April 7, 2026: In partnership with Frederick County government, The Community Foundation of Frederick County is currently accepting a second round of applications for the Frederick FEED Grant Program. This program strengthens food distribution efforts in the community.
“We are grateful for the opportunity to partner with Frederick County Government in this important work,” said Betsy Day, President and CEO of The Community Foundation of Frederick County. “By pairing the County’s investment with our expert, volunteer-driven grantmaking process, we can move critical funding quickly and efficiently to the organizations addressing food insecurity. This is collaboration at its best — ensuring vital resources reach our community when and where they’re needed most.”
The Frederick FEED Grant Program is open to nonprofit, religious and civic organizations that provide food, groceries, backpack food programs, or serve meals to people within Frederick County. Applicants must demonstrate a need for funding, and submit a project description, budget, and organizational documentation.
Grants may be used to expand food distribution efforts, general operating support for food-related initiatives, administrative overhead directly tied to food service delivery, and capital purchases such as refrigerators, freezer, and food storage.
Grants will be awarded through a competitive process managed by the Community Foundation. Applications will be reviewed on an individual basis to provide funds that are essential for meeting the demand in the community.
An initial round of grants was awarded in January of this year. This current program is the second and final round of the Frederick FEED Grant Program. For more information and to access the online grant application, visit FrederickCountyGives.org/FeedGrant.
