Amy is a passionate environmental educator and lifelong Frederick County resident whose commitment to community service spans decades and continents. She currently serves as Chair of the Frederick County Sustainability Commission, where she helps guide policy and community engagement efforts to promote sustainability. A dedicated Master Gardener with over 1,000 volunteer hours, Amy also chairs the Bay-Wise Committee and has played a leading role in school and public garden initiatives that emphasize native plantings and watershed health. Perhaps most dear to

her heart is founding the first after-school 4-H program in Frederick County Public Schools at her alma mater, Lincoln Elementary. Through this program, she brings naturebased learning to young students, cultivating a love for gardening, environmental stewardship, and civic responsibility. Amy’s volunteer efforts also include wildlife rehabilitation, raptor rescue, and leading educational talks throughout the county. Inspired by her roots on a Feagaville dairy farm and a life spent helping others around the world, Amy believes every small act of kindness and care can sow the seeds of lasting change.
