FREDERICK, MD – December 3, 2021: The Shirley Barnes Rippeon and Vernon Robert Rippeon Fund has been established with The Community Foundation of Frederick County and becomes one of its more than 750 component funds.
Founded by Mr. Rippeon, this fund will support the Hoover Library at McDaniel College. After serving four years in the Navy, Mr. Rippeon went to college so he could eventually help his father run his business. He said the library became a haven for him because he spent so much time there studying. Mr. Rippeon’s appreciation for this quiet space inspired him to create this fund to support McDaniel students.
