Community Foundation Announces FY2022 Strategic Grant Application

FREDERICK, MD – July 9, 2021:  The Community Foundation of Frederick County announces its FY2022 dates for strategic grant applications and information sessions. Funding for these strategic grants is made possible through generous donors who are FY22 Strategic Funding Partners and donors who have contributed to the Forever Frederick County campaign.  This campaign began in 2019 following an updated Human Needs Assessment study done to capture Frederick County’s greatest needs. This study created the new strategic areas of focus of supporting families with children, preparing for an aging population, and responding to substance use disorder.

Applications for strategic grants will be accepted July 15, 2021 through August 15, 2021. This grant cycle will allow organizations to apply for program grants to support services related to the Community Foundation’s 2019 Strategic Initiatives. Applications from organizations applying for funding must identify project or service outcomes for programs, organizations, or systems that address supporting families with children, preparing for a growing aging population, or responding to substance use disorder.

All grant applications are made through the Community Foundation’s online application process, and details and a link to the application can be found beginning July 15, 2021 at www.FrederickCountyGives.org/grants.

To be eligible to apply, an organization must certify it is one of the following and in good-standing: a 501(c)(3) nonprofit; a government agency applying for an extraordinary project that is not funded by tax revenue; a religious organization requesting funding for non-sectarian activities; or a civic group that is not a 501(c)(3) requesting funding for a community cause.
