Community Foundation Extends Scholarship Application Deadline to April 6

FREDERICK, MD – March 13, 2020: The Community Foundation of Frederick County is extending its scholarship application deadline to Monday, April 6, 2020 at 11:59 p.m. Following the closure of Frederick County Public Schools to prevent the spread of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19), the deadline extension is to allow students additional time to complete the application.

The scholarships are for the 2020-2021 academic year and just over $1 million is available to students pursuing postsecondary education or vocational training. By completing one general application, students may qualify for more than 250 scholarships. The completed application with required attachments must be submitted online no later than 11:59 p.m. EST on Monday, April 6, 2020.
