Community Foundation Strategic Grantees Announced

FREDERICK, MD – November 30, 2021: During its recent FY2022 strategic grantmaking cycle, The Community Foundation of Frederick County provided more than $751,000 to 26 area nonprofits dedicated to improving lives and enhancing Frederick County. These grants focus on the Community Foundation’s strategic grant areas of supporting families with children, preparing for a growing aging population, and responding to substance use disorder. The FY2022 strategic grant cycle is the first time that The Forever Frederick County Fund, an unrestricted endowment fund, has distributed grant monies in support of these initiatives.

Nothing TOPS 35 Years of Philanthropy

The Community Foundation of Frederick County just released its 35th Annual Report to the Community for fiscal year 2021. We call this report “Nothing Tops Philanthropy” because of navigating another unprecedented and challenging year only to experience that our generous supporters would prove again that giving was still of top importance.

Taking Care of Our Veterans

This week, we observe a day in honor of our military veterans of all ages who have served our country in various conflicts worldwide. Our veterans have fought for freedom at home and abroad and risked their lives daily so that others could live more peacefully.

Community Foundation Muse Athletic/Sports Camp Scholarships Available Beginning November 15

FREDERICK, MD – November 4, 2021: From November 15, 2021 through December 15, 2021, students in grades 6 through 12 may apply for financial aid scholarships to attend winter athletic and sports activities or athletic camps. The scholarships are funded by The Dustin and Courtney Muse Memorial Fund, one of more than 750 component funds of The Community Foundation of Frederick County.
