Grants Benefit Citizens and Montevue Facilities

Two grants totaling more than $28,000 recently benefited Citizens Care and Rehabilitation Center of Frederick and Montevue Assisted Living by providing hand railings in the Memory Garden and two new pianos.

FREDERICK, MD – May 25, 2018:  Two grants totaling more than $28,000 recently benefited Citizens Care and Rehabilitation Center of Frederick and Montevue Assisted Living by providing hand railings in the Memory Garden and two new pianos.

The grants were provided from two funds established by Donald C. Linton and Charles F. Trunk, III. Both are managed by The Community Foundation of Frederick County. These funds, The Citizens Care & Rehabilitation Center and Montevue Assisted Living Fund and The Friends of Citizens Care & Rehabilitation Center and Montevue Assisted Living Fund, were created to enhance the lives of residents at both facilities. The new hand railings in the garden increase the accessibility of the area for residents, and the pianos enhance the music programs. Both the garden and music programs are greatly enjoyed by all residents and their families. Donations to these funds were made by more than 60 donors who care about seniors in Frederick County.
