Professional Advisor Council

The Frederick County Professional Advisor Council was created in 2009 to provide a resource for charitable giving, education, and networking. All certified and licensed professionals who advise on financial and legal decisions that may include charitable giving are invited to participate.

The Council exists to:

  • Increase and encourage advisor referrals of clients with charitable intentions.
  • Provide education about planned giving, philanthropic trends, community needs, and the Community Foundation’s services.
  • Supply materials that advisors may use in discussing charitable giving with clients.
  • Provide networking and educational opportunities.

What is the Estate Planning Council?

The Frederick County Estate Planning Council (FEPC) is an interdisciplinary organization for professionals involved in estate planning. FEPC strives to foster understanding of the proper relationship between the functions of the accountant, attorney, financial planner, life underwriter, trust officer, and any other parties having to do with estate planning to encourage cooperation of the persons acting under those disciplines.
